Free and confidential service - also open to non-registered patients.
Home Visits
If you need a home visit... PLEASE RING THE SURGERY BEFORE 10.30 AM
It is helpful if you can give some idea of the problem so that the priority
of the call may be properly assessed.
Please give clear instructions of how to find your home.
Collecting Medicines
Dispensing and Repeat Prescriptions.
The Practice is a dispensing one which means that most patients will be able
to collect their drugs from the Surgery or branch Surgeries by arrangement.
If you have medication on a repeat prescription please give 48 hours notice
when possible to ensure your drug is in stock. Please ring after 10.30 am Monday
to Friday. Except in exceptional circumstances requests for repeat prescriptions
cannot be dealt with on Saturday mornings. Please remember that prescription
charges still apply. Details of prepayment and exemption can be obtained from
the Dispenser.
Practice Nurse
An experienced nurse is available in the Surgery on most days to procedures
such as blood samples, stitch removal, and ear syringing. She also provides
more specialist surgery such as
Health Promotion and Diet Advice
Routine & Holiday Vaccinations and Advice
Childrens' Vaccinations
Well Woman Clinic including Cervical Smears
Well Man Clinic
Asthma and Diabetes follow up and advice
General advice on all aspects of Health Care
Specialist Services
In addition to routine health care the following services are available from
the Surgery:
Antenatal and Postnatal Care
Child Health Assessment
Contraception Services (including coil fitting and emergency contraception)
Foreign travel advice and antimalarial medication
Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre
Acupuncture for pain relief
In addition A LADY DOCTOR will be available by appointment.

Private Services
The Practice is primarily an NHS Practice. Some services provided are outside
of the NHS and a fee is payable, i.e.:
HGV/PSV Driving examinations
Pre-employment medicals
Private insurance claims or certificates
Acupuncture when indicated is provided free to NHS registered patients of the
practice, but is available by Private Consultation to non NHS patients. A scale
of fees and charges is avaiiahle from reception.
