Corby Glen Parish Council – February 2010
· The Parish Council has installed lighting in the lane between Barleycroft and Pridmore Road. It's now possible to negotiate the lane without a torch.
· Repairs have been completed, by LCC Highways, to a section of footpath in Barleycroft – we look forward to seeing the job finished, to tidy up the rest of the footpath.
· We now have new Community Cleaners, which we share with Colsterworth Parish Council. Their efforts are certainly helping to keep our village tidy.
· We await further news on the repair works to the Coachman Inn, to enable it to re-open - and to the traffic lights being removed on Swinstead Road.
· We are applying to Lincolnshire County Council for three additional grit bins around the village for next winter. Let’s hope we are successful in our bid.
· The Parish Council continues the search for a suitable site for allotments in the village.
Meetings are held monthly on every second Wednesday (except August) at the Willoughby Gallery at 8:00 p.m. Members of the public are invited to attend and can participate in a ten minute Open Forum at the commencement of each meeting
